unsigned and of 1821/31 pattern, with broad straight spear-point 33in. blade, blind double fullers to both faces,, the squared ricasso engraved with a crescent moon maker's mark, brass complex basket hilt of regulation form with red felt inner guard with buff lining, leather grip-piece (wire binding absent) and tassel to the bun pommel, no scabbard
